Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik on Monday targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He said that he will soon send an aircraft for Rahul Gandhi so he can come to Kashmir and see the plain conditions.
Earlier on Saturday, Rahul Gandhi said that there were reports of some violent incidents in the valley. The Prime Minister should see this matter with complete peace and transparency. End the growing discontent about it.
On this, the governor said- Rahul should be ashamed that one of his leaders was talking stupid things on Kashmir matter in Parliament. He said- I have invited Rahul Gandhi to come to the valley. I have asked him to come here. I will send a plane for you. See the situation here. Say something after this. You are a responsible person. You should not do such things.
No communal angle to remove Article 370: The Governor
Actually, Malik was questioned about some statements and media reports about the mention of violent incidents in the Valley. To this, Malik said- Removal of Article 370 and Article 35-A was for everyone. There is no communal angle. There is no communal angle in Leh, Kargil, Jammu, Rajouri-Poonch but also in Kashmir.
We also warned foreign media: Governor
Malik said – some people had tried to spoil the atmosphere but they could not succeed in it. Foreign media also made such efforts, but we also warned them. All hospitals are open for you. If anyone is shot, prove it. Only four people suffered leg injuries with pellet guns when they were inciting violence. His injuries are also not serious.
Rahul Gandhi’s Statement
Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi wrote that they cannot bifurcate Jammu and Kashmir to maintain national integrity. For this, they cannot put the elected representatives in jail by putting the Constitution on hold. The country is made up by its people and not by plots and land. Misuse of executive powers can prove to be a serious threat to our national security.
Let us tell you that the Congress Party strongly oppose the Central Government’s decision and voted against this proposal in the Rajya Sabha.
