The internal strife is coming out after the crushing defeat of the Congress in the Delhi Assembly elections. Meanwhile, senior party leader Jyotiraditya Scindia has also questioned the defeat. He said that new thinking is needed in the party. Let me tell you that in the national capital Delhi, the country’s oldest political party has become an existential crisis. In the last two assembly elections, the party has not even opened the account, so now the decisions of the party are beginning to be questioned. Not only has Scindia told the party the need for new thinking, but today he has also talked about changing the country.
Congress’ Jyotiraditya Scindia on #DelhiElectionResult2020: It is highly disappointing for our party. There is an urgent need for a new ideology &a new work process. Scindia said that the party needed to change the methodology. Earlier, senior party leader and former President Pranab Mukherjee’s daughter Sharmishtha Mukherjee has also raised big questions on the leaders of the state unit including the high command over the party’s defeat.
Mukherjee had made serious allegations of delay in decision making by the high command and lack of unity in the state unit. Not only that, being a part of the party, he also talked about taking responsibility for the defeat himself.
No seat in Delhi due to 2nd election
The last two assembly elections in Delhi have proved to be extremely bad for the Congress. The Congress has not even opened its account of the seat in the 2015 and recently concluded assembly elections. There has never been such a bad condition in the state of the party. This time many senior leaders refused to even take tickets. In such a situation, questions have started to arise after the party’s poor condition.
