Unnao Rape Survivor Won’t Be Shifted to Delhi: SC

On Friday, 2nd August, the Supreme Court postponed the decision of getting the Unnao Rape victim to Delhi from Lucknow hospital.

During the hearing on Friday, the Solicitor General told the court that the victim’s family doesn’t want to shift their daughter to Delhi from Lucknow’s King George Hospital (KGMU) till their daughter and her lawyers’ conditions improve.

Apart from this, the top court has ordered to shift victim’s uncle from Rae Bareli jail to Tihar Jail.

Besides, the police will produce the truck driver and cleaner in CBI court on Friday in connection with the victim’s accident.

CBI will interrogate driver Ashish Pal and cleaner Mohan Shrivastava after taking them into custody.

After the Supreme Court order, the CRPF has provided security cover to the victim’s family and the lawyers.

The CBI has called the policemen investigating the case to Lucknow.

The Supreme Court has directed the CBI to complete the investigation into the incident within 7 days.

On Friday, the CRPF reached the victim’s village in Unnao.

Besides the family, the advocate for the prosecution of the victim’s uncle has also given CRPF protection.

They have deployed four soldiers in their security. Earlier, the state government handed a check of Rs 25 lakh to the victim’s relatives late night.

The Condition of the Victim Not Improved in 5 Days

The condition of a victim suffering a road accident on Sunday (July 28th) on Rae Bareli is critical. She is on a ventilator in KGMU of Lucknow. It’s been 5 days and her condition are still not stable.

In the accident, the victim’s both the aunts died.

Victims Chachi (aunt) was a witness for the CBI to the Unnao rape case.

On Tuesday, the CBI filed a case against the against 10 people, including MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and his brother after the complaint of victim’s uncle.

On Thursday, the Supreme court heard the case of Unnao Rape and Accident case.

Meanwhile, Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi directed the Uttar Pradesh Government to provide security to the victim and her family.

Apart from this, the SC also ordered the UP government Rs 25 lakh as compensation for interim relief.

The court ordered all the cases related to the rape victim to be transferred to Delhi.

In addition, the CBI has directed that they should complete the investigation of the road accident within 7 days and they should complete the rest of the cases within 45 days.

The victim was going to Rae Bareli with the family on July 28th from the car, when it met with an accident. In the accident, the victim’s both the aunts died. The victim is on the ventilator. The CBI is investigating this matter.

Kuldeep Singh Sengar Raped the Girl in the Year 2017

In the year 2017, the girl was gang-raped in 2017. They allege it that MLA Sengar and others raped the girl in a context of giving her a job.

The victim was a minor at that time.

Later the victim’s father died in police custody. They allege it that the MLA had assaulted her father.

After the father’s death, the victim had tried suicide in front of the chief minister in Lucknow. After this, they entrusted the investigation to the SIT.

CBI is now investigating. On Wednesday, BJP expelled MLA Sanger from the party. Sengar is now in jail in Sitapur.
