Bounce in market even after lockdown, Sensex rises by 1000 points, Nifty above 8500

The market opened on the green mark on Thursday, the fourth trading day of the week. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s flagship index Sensex opened at 28884.41, up 348.63 points, or 1.22 percent. The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange opened 120.65 points, or 1.45 percent, at 8438.50 level. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a 21-day lockdown across the country. The market is seeing a boom due to the expectation of an economic package. On Wednesday, the Sensex had the biggest bounce in a single day in the last 10 years.
