A shocking case of capital punishment comes to light from Madhya Pradesh. In Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, a teacher punished a 6th class student. She asked the student to get 168 slaps from her classmates for 6 days.
The JMFC court of Thandla has rejected the bail plea of the teacher.
The teacher surrendered in the police station on May 13, 2019. They presented him in court, from where they sent him to jail.
The event was of January 2018. On the complaint of the girl’s father, the police had filed the case.
ADPO and Media Cell In-charge Varsha Jain in Thandla said, Judge Jai Patidar, rejected the bail application and asked the has been sent to jail.
The girl’s father, Shiv Pratap Singh, had complained against the teacher Manoj Verma. They found teachers guilty in the investigation, after which the Thandla Police filed the case. The accused was arrested and presented in court on Monday.
What was the incident?
The sixth student did not go to school from one to ten in January 2018. According to the father, during this time her health was not well and her medical slip was also there.
When schoolgirl went to school on 11th, her homework was not complete. On this, teacher Manoj Verma made two slaps each day with the other 14 students of the class. By 16th they applied 16th, 28-28 slaps to the student every day.
When the student returned home after a week, she was in depression. On repeated inquiries, she told about the incident in school.
On 22nd, the school complained, but the action was not taken. Then on January 25th, the complaint filed in the police station.
After the initial investigation, they suspended teacher Manoj Verma.
