Former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has played an important role in getting Bollywood out of the underworld shadow.

Film Production to Film Industry

Sushma Swaraj was the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting in 1998. While she played an important role in the journey of Bollywood from film production to the film industry. 

Her most notable decision during this period was to declare film production as an industry. So that the Indian film industry could get a loan from the bank. 

Since Bollywood didn’t have an industry status, gangsters had taken their control on the movie production. 

Because of the efforts of Sushma Swaraj, the industry got status and Bollywood breathed a sigh of relief. For this, the entire credit goes to Sushma Swaraj.

Sushma Swaraj Died on Tuesday Night

Sushma Swaraj was a vocal spokesperson. She was a popular face on Twitter. Sushma is a strong personality. 

She was always ahead to help everyone. 

She has helped many people to return to their country. Sushma has a deep connection with Hindi cinema. 

She used to visit Bollywood stars on many special occasions. And, Bollywood celebs also used to come to meet her.

Let us tell you that Sushma Swaraj breathed her last on Tuesday. She died of a heart attack. 

There is also a wave of mourning in Bollywood because of the death of Sushma. 

On Tuesday night her family members admitted her to AIIMS Delhi when she complained of chest pain. But she died in the hospital itself. 

Sushma Swaraj had been running ill for a long time and her kidney transplant was also done. She did not contest the 2019 Lok Sabha elections because of illness.
