The removal of article 370 is gathering mixed reaction with in the country.
Meanwhile, BJP MLA Vikram Saini from Khatauli Assembly of Muzaffarnagar in UP has given a controversial statement, thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah for removing Article 370 from Kashmir in a meeting.
During this meeting, he made a controversial statement and said that now his party workers can marry “fair girls of Kashmir”.
This statement by Vikram Saini is gathering a lot of criticism on social media.
Now actress Richa Chadha is fiercely criticizing the BJP MLA’s statement.
Richa Chadha lashed out at the BJP leader on Twitter, saying, “Racist, sexist, sex-hungry dinosaurs are not yet lost but are thriving! Why are most of our leaders’ men you don’t even want to invite home for tea? Is this the reason you wanted to go to Kashmir? Marriage was already legal in Kashmir.

Vikram Saini’s statement is being criticized all over the country. Apart from Richa Chadha, actress Swara Bhaskar also called out Vikram Saini for his sexist statement.

MLA Saini said- So much oppression was there on women till now? If the girl there marries a boy from Uttar Pradesh, her citizenship will end. The citizenship of India is different and the citizenship of Kashmir is different.
He further said Muslim workers should celebrate. They can get married to fair Kashmiri girls. There should be celebrations. Everyone should celebrate, be it Hindus or Muslims. This is something the entire country should celebrate.
Abrogation of Article 370
After the Rajya Sabha, On Tuesday, 6th August Lok Sabha passed the resolution of Jammu and Kashmir reorganization to remove Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.
The majority in the Lok Sabha passed this resolution. With this, they divided Jammu and Kashmir into two parts.
According to this bill, the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will bifurcate into two union territories one J&K and second Ladakh.
Now that this bill has got president’s approval and the official gazette notification, they will start the bifurcation process.
They will dissolve the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council and all pending bills will lapse.
