The trailer of Rani Mukherjee’s upcoming film ‘Mardaani 2’ was released on Thursday. She is making a comeback in the role of IPS Shivani Shivaji Roy after 5 years from this film. They released the first part of the film in 2014, with Shivani’s fight against child trafficking and drugs. Pradeep Sarkar directed the film. ‘Modern 2’ director is Gopi Puthran and they will see Shivani this time in the film struggling to catch a serial rapist.

The story of the film is from the city of Kota in Rajasthan, where millions of children go for coaching all over the country. The trailer begins with a report by the National Crime Records Bureau, which states that over 2000 rapes are committed each year in India by boys under the age of 18, and this is just a registered case. It has been claimed in the trailer that the story is based on a real-life incident.
