US Open: Rafael Nadal in 8th Semi Final, Beat Diego Schwartzman

Three-time champion Rafael Nadal of Spain has made it to the semi-finals of the fourth and final Grand Slam US Open. In the men’s singles quarter-finals, world number-2 Nadal defeated Diego Schwartzman of Argentina 6-4, 7-5, 6-2 in straight sets.

33-year-old Nadal took full advantage of his experience in the match against the 20th seed Schwartzman for 2 hours and 46 minutes.

Rafael Nadal made it to the US Open semi-final for the 8th time. He will now face 24th seed Italy’s Matteo Berrettini in the semi-finals. This tournament has become easy for Nadal who has won 18 Grand Slam. World number-1 Novak Djokovic and world number-3 Roger Federer are already out.

23-year-old Matteo Berrettini has made it to the final four of a Grand Slam for the first time. He defeated World No. 13 Frenchman Gayle Monfils 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5) for nearly 4 hours.

In another semi-final of the US Open, Bulgaria’s unseeded Grigor Dimitrov will face Daniil Medvedev of Russia. Dimitrov defeated World No.3 Roger Federer in the quarter-finals. In the form of strong form Medvedev defeated Stan Wawrinka of Switzerland in the quarter-finals.

Dimitrov will face Daniil Medvedev in the semi-finals.

In Men’s Singles, Russia Daniil Medvedev defeated Stan Wawrinka of Switzerland. Medvedev won the match 7-6 (8-6), 6-3, 3-6, 6-1. He reached the semi-finals for the first time in any Grand Slam tournament. Earlier, he reached the fourth round (2019) at the Australian Open.

He has become the youngest player to make it to the final 4 of the US Open after 2010
