Obama furious over Donald Trump, says “Government sending agents to use tear gas against peaceful demonstrators”

World

Former US President Barack Obama has compared police action against protests by black citizens in the country to the atrocities committed against people during the civil rights movement in the 1960s. Obama said these things in a tribute meeting held after the death of John Black, the famous American black MP. Along with this, he has also requested the Parliament of the country to pass the voting law.

Louis, who was a member of the US Parliament for nearly 3 decades, died on July 17 at the age of 80. Louis was considered the big face of black citizens. He participated in the nationwide public rights movement in the 1960s by African-American black citizens against racism led by the great American agitator Martin Luther King Jr. Meanwhile, in 1965, police in Selma, Alabama took stern action against the protesters and beat them with sticks. Young John Louis was also present at that time. During this movement, the police atrocities have been compared by Obama to the recent black movement in the country.

George Floyd died in US police custody in Minnesota, after which there were fierce protests and demonstrations all over the country. Speaking in relation to this, Obama stated: We can witness our federal government sending agents to use tear gas and batons against peaceful demonstrators. Doing their possible to discourage people from voting by closing polling stations and imposing restrictive ID laws on minorities and students.
