The Uttar Pradesh Government has shown 25,000 home guards out of jobs. This action has taken place when only a few days are left for Deepawali. The order issued by the Uttar Pradesh Police Headquarters said that in the discussion held on 28 August 2019 under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary; they decided it remove the Home Guard.

After this decision taken at the government level, the deployment of 25 thousand home guards determined in the districts by the mandate date April 3, 2019, is terminated with immediate effect.

In Uttar Pradesh, over 25 thousand home guards lost a job

Recently, the Finance Department has given a sanction of Rs 600 honorarium and Rs 72 DA to the Home Guard under the strictness of the Supreme Court. The government will also pay arrears to home guard from 6 December 2016 to 31 August 2019. After they approved the proposal, they sent the principal secretary to the home guard. At present, home guards gave an allowance of Rs 500 per day.

NBT Online spoke to Additional Director General of Police (ADG) BP Jogandan about this. BP Jogdand said, ‘I don’t know the reason they took this decision. They have ended services of additional home guards deployed in the districts.

In the entire case, Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Kumar Lallu strongly attacked Yogi Adityanath’s government. Ajay Kumar said, ‘While they have started this government, on the one hand, promised in the past elections that will boost employment in every department.

In-home guard, the Supreme Court has given clear instructions that equal pay for equal work, even then this government is disregarding the orders of the Supreme Court. Homeguard, who does many important things in the police station apart from duty. However, this government engaged in neglecting the people by ending the employment system.

Removing 25 thousand home guard, it reflects their mentality. We will fight the battle of home guards from street to house.
