On Friday, 16th August, Priyanka Gandhi tweeted on the Pehlu Khan case after all the court acquitted the accused.
She said that the decision of the Lower Court in the Pehlu Khan case is shocking. There should be no place of inhumanity in our country and murder by a mob is a heinous crime. BSP supremo Mayawati cited the Rajasthan Congress’s gross negligence as the reason behind the release of the accused.
Alwar’s Additional District and Sessions Court judge, Dr. Sarita Swamy ruled in this case on Wednesday. On April 2017, Pehlu Khan was beaten to death by a mob on charges of cow trafficking. He died in the hospital.
