Some bike riders harassed actress Ushoshi Sengupta (30), in Kolkata. The hooligans misbehaved with the actress and thrashed her cab driver. The incident happened on late Monday Night. The actress was returning home from shooting at 11.40 pm on Monday night.
On Tuesday night police arrested 7 youths on her complain. Ushoshi has also submitted the video of the incident to the police. Ushoshi have represented India in the Miss Universe contest in 2010.
On Wednesday, 19th June, Ushoshi said that this was not an incident of tampering, but it is a serious issue of security for the people. If I sit quietly then nothing happens, my driver has been badly beaten. Some friends have written that the boys tried to tamper me out. That’s a lie.
Ushoshi Made a Video of the incident
Ushoshi said in the complaint, “I was going home from a cab with a coworker. Bike rider collided in the car near Jawahar Road crossing and about 15 people started to beat the driver and beat him. I tried to stop them and made a video telling the police. Many times the police came late because of the call until the boys had run away. ,”
Bike riders tried to break the phone of Ushoshi
Ushoshi has alleged that after this she left the colleague to leave the house. Then, 15-18 boys riding the 6 bikes, followed their car.
Keeping the stone on the road stopped the car and pulled me out of the car. They snatched the phone and started trying to delete the video of the assault. Coworkers jumped from the car with fear and started screaming for help from local people. Somehow I told the father and sister about the incident. The accused youth escaped from the spot.
Actress’s allegation: Police has stopped recording cases
Ushoshi told in a Facebook post that the police had deferred recording of the incident report. After asking many questions, I wrote my report but did not register a complaint with the driver. The Kolkata Police said in the tweet that we took the incident seriously. Based on the video of the actress’s mobile and CCTV footage, they have arrested 7 youths. They are all local boys and have violated traffic rules several times.
