The most common cause of thyroid-related problems is autoimmune thyroid disease (AITD). It is a genetic condition in which the immune system starts producing antibodies and stimulates the thyroid glands to produce more hormones.
There are two types of thyroid. Hyperthyroidism and Hypothyroidism

Weight loss, hand tremble
Unable to cope with heat, lack of sleep
Thirst, excessive sweating
Fast heartbeat, weakness, anxiety and insomnia
There is another type of thyroid, Hypothyroidism. Its symptoms are:
Sluggishness at work, fatigue, constipation
Slow heart rate, cold,
Dry skin, dryness in hair
Irregular menstrual cycle in women
Symptoms of infertility etc.
