The convoy of former JNU Students’ Union president and CPI leader Kanhaiya Kumar has been attacked once again in Bihar. Kanhaiya’s car has been damaged in a brick-and-stone attack. It is being told that Kanhaiya had come to meet at Ara’s Ramna Maidan. Meanwhile, his convoy was attacked by anti-social elements. People with him say that this is the eighth attack on Kanhaiya Kumar’s convoy in Bihar in recent times.
Kanhaiya Kumar has tweeted that today the convoy of Jan-Gan-Man Yatra will reach Ara after meeting in Buxar. Godse-lovers have set fire to the gathering stage in Ara last night, but we will go with a caravan of love and will raise slogans of freedom from hatred. The inkalab stage does not attract friends.
According to the information received, Kanhaiya’s convoy was moving towards the assembly site, when the anti-social elements from the bike started hurling bricks and stones. After this, the police with the convoy boarded Kanhaiya in another car and left for Ramna Maidan. There is no damage to Kanhaiya in this attack. Earlier on February 12, Kanhaiya’s convoy was attacked. Kanhaiya is currently on a Jana Gana Mana Yatra. The yatra, which began last month, will conclude a fortnight later with a huge rally in Patna.
Kanhaiya and his convoy are constantly being targeted
On 5 February, Kanhaiya Kumar’s convoy was stoned in Supaul. Three people, including a young woman in a vehicle in the convoy, were injured in the stone-pelting. The alumni leader left for Saharsa with the convoy after addressing a public meeting in Supaul. Glasses of two vehicles were broken in stone. JNU alumni association president Kanhaiya Kumar had a meeting at Sisouni Nemanama in Kishanpur block.
At the Mallik Chowk near the Sadar police station in the city, youths already standing in the number of 25-30 were raising slogans in support of the CAA, NRC. As soon as Kanhaiya Kumar’s vehicle arrived, first, some people threw black ink on it. In the same month, on 2 February, in Bihar, Chapra was also stoned on the convoy of former student leader Kanhaiya Kumar. They were about to attend the gathering that 20 to 25 people had stoned their convoy near the Koopa market.
