On 14th August, India and West Indies will play the third and final ODI of the series at the Port of Spain.
The first match of this three-match series was canceled because of rain. In the second match, team India won.
If the Windies win this match, then the series will be equal and if Team India wins, then it will capture the trophy.
The opening pair is again causing problems for team India. Shikhar Dhawan scored just 27 runs in three T20 matches. In the second ODI, he was out at 2. Rishabh Pant could not fully redeem the opportunities he is getting.
Iyer will bat at number five?
Shreyas Iyer, who batted well on the Windies tour of India A, got a chance to bat in the second ODI. He played brilliant innings of 71 runs at number five. He will bat at this place in the third ODI.
Rishabh Pant will get a chance at number five. However, many questions are being raised about him now.
Kedar Jadhav will also have to play more responsibly. Kohli had a brilliant century in the second ODI. There is no problem with bowling.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is in a good rhythm. Shami and Khalil have also been successful in keeping the line and length better with speed. Kuldeep proved to be expensive in the second ODI but he did not lag in taking wickets.
This could be Team India’s playing-11
Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli (captain), Shreyas Iyer, Lokesh Rahul, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Kuldeep Yadav, and Khalil Ahmed.
Eyes On Chris Gayle
West Indies lost the T20 series. If they lose this match also, then they will also lose the ODI series. Chris Gayle could not perform with the bat so far. He wanted to play in Test matches but the board did not give him a place. Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer and Nicolas Pooran are talented but the team will hope to do better than them. The bowlers will have to do their job by becoming more disciplined.
This could be West Indies playing-11
Jason Holder (captain), Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer, Nicolas Pooran (wicket-keeper), Roston Chase, Carlos Brathwaite, Sheldon Cottrell, Oshen Thomas, and Kemar Roach.
