Complaints of bone and joint pain usually increase during winter. Especially the elderly struggle with this. To get rid of this, some precautions are necessary.
Morning walk is healthy
A morning walk is more beneficial during winter. It not only gives warmth to the body but also helps in protecting it from health problems related to this season. Walking also increases physical and mental capacity and relieves stress. Exercise, walking, running, climbing stairs or dancing in the gym strengthens bones. With the increasing cold, joint problems increase, so take a walk of at least 3 kilometers per day. This will give warmth and flexibility to the bones. In those who do not sunbathe or exercise in cold, it aggravates the pain problem in bones.
Calcium and vitamins
Getting enough calcium, vitamin-D, minerals, and other nutrients in winter relieve pain and other problems in bones and joints. Milk, yogurt, broccoli, green leafy vegetables, sesame seeds, figs, soy, and almond milk can be included in the diet to meet the need for calcium. The best sources of Vitamin-D are sun rays. Vitamin-D is abundant in milk products and many portions of cereal, soy milk and almond milk.
During winter, the arteries of the blood get narrowed, because of which the flow of blood is not normal.
Blood, water, and oxygen do not reach the right amount in different parts of the body. A decrease in the amount of oxygen causes tension in the nerves of the body, causing pain in the bones. For this, include such foods as papaya, watermelon, mango, etc. in the diet which works to increase the amount of oxygen in the blood. Consumption of sprouts and lemon also results in oxygen.
It meets the deficiency. By doing yoga and exercise regularly, the narrowed arteries come back to the normal state, because of which the flow of blood starts in a normal manner. Consuming lukewarm water in cold weather also relieves this problem.
Bathing with lukewarm water or lukewarm water provides relief to the joints of feet. Avoid going into the open immediately after bathing with warm water.
