A 5-judge bench of the Supreme Court ruled on the Ayodhya dispute on Saturday. The bench said – they will construct Ram temple on the disputed land. The Muslim side will be given 5 acres of land separately for the construction of the mosque. On the decision, Home Minister Amit Shah said- I appeal to people from all communities and religions to accept the Supreme Court’s decision and maintain peace and harmony. I appeal to the citizens to remain committed to ‘One India-Best India’. ”

Sangh chief Bhagwat said- RSS welcomes this decision. We congratulate all the judges who have heard the matter patiently. We welcome all efforts to maintain the status and brotherhood of accepting the verdict.

Not a union agitating organization: Bhagwat

Bhagwat said – we should not view the verdict from the point of view of Jai defeat. We request countrymen to express their feelings in a restrained manner. Forget all the past and build a grand temple on the Ram Janmabhoomi. Citizens of India are citizens of India, we do not have separate messages for any Hindu or Muslim. The Sangh is not a movement organization.

Leaders’ statements after the Supreme Court’s decision:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi- The Supreme Court of the country has pronounced its verdict on Ayodhya. We should not see this decision as a victory or defeat of anyone.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray – today is a golden day in the history of India. There has been a dispute about the birth of Lord Rama when he was born, where he was born, whether he was born. The court has put a stop to this today. We welcome the decision of the court. We are going to Ayodhya on the 24th. There is a power that I have felt. Now I will definitely go there again and again.

AIMIM Asaduddin Owaisi – As long as the world remains intact, we will remain the turban of this country. We may not live but will tell the coming generations that the place where the mosque had been for 5000 years was demolished by the Sangh Parivar on 6 December 1992 and they gave the Supreme Court wrong information. We cannot negotiate the land of the mosque. I can deal with my house but they cannot trade the land of the mosque.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh – This is a historic decision. I appeal to the public to maintain peace.

BJP leader Uma Bharti- The court has given a fair but divine decision. I have come to Advani’s house to bow him. Advaniji is the only person who has challenged pseudo-secularism. Due to them, we have reached here today.

Zafaryab Jilani of All India Muslim Personal Law Board – If our committee is ready, we will file a reconsideration petition. This is our right. This is also in the Supreme Court rules.

Syed Ahmed Bukhari, Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid, Delhi – We have always said that we will accept whatever decision of the Supreme Court. I hope that the country will now move towards development. As far as the question is concerned, I do not agree with the filing of the reconsideration petition.

Baba Ramdev- This is a historic decision. We should build a grand Ram temple. I am sure that the Hindu brothers will also help in building the mosque.

Indian National Congress is in favor of building the temple of Lord Shri Ram.

Muslim party Iqbal Ansari – I accept the Supreme Court verdict. We appeal to the entire countrymen to maintain peace and harmony. All people should accept the decision of the Honorable Court.

Karthik Chopra, a spokesperson of Nirmohi Akhara- We are grateful to the Supreme Court. They recognized our 150 years of fighting. Gave adequate space in the trust to be created by the central government, which will handle the construction and management of the Ram temple.

MNS chief Raj Thackeray: I am happy today. All the kar sevaks sacrificed during the entire struggle did not go in vain. Ram temple should be built as soon as possible. Along with the Ram temple, the kingdom of Rama should also come in the country. This is my wish

Diwan Syed Zainul Abedin of Ajmer Sharif Dargah: It is not a matter of victory or defeat of anyone. We should respect the decision of the Supreme Court. Whatever happened, it happened in the national interest. This is what we should end this dispute.

Appeal made before the decision on Ayodhya dispute:

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi- Whatever the decision of the court, we all have the responsibility to maintain the thousands of years old tradition of unity, social harmony and mutual love of the country.

Everyone should accept Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar- Supreme Court verdict. There should not be any dispute on this. We appeal to everyone not to create a negative atmosphere. Maintain affinity.

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Congress leader in the Lok Sabha – “We are from the beginning in favor of peace. I am a priest of equal peace. We all should obey the order of the Supreme Court.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik- I appeal to all to accept the decision of the Supreme Court. Maintain peace and harmony. Brotherhood is the hallmark of our secularism.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari – We have full faith in the court. I appeal to everyone to accept whatever is the decision of the Supreme Court. Keep the peace
