Vicky Kaushal the young, dashing, handsome and brilliant actor has made a mark in Bollywood industry in a short span of time,

And, today he is celebrating his 31st birthday.

Just like any other person, Vicky comes from a middle-class family. He has worked hard to reach the place he is at today. 

He Used to Stay in Chawl

Vicky Kaushal was born on 16th May 1988 to Shyam Kaushal and Veena Kaushal. Shyam Kaushal was action director in Bollywood movies. His mother Veena Kaushal is a house maker. 

Vicky also has a younger brother who is an assistant director. 

Initially, Vicky and his family used to live in a chawl of Mumbai. And, his father was a stuntman in Bollywood. 

Vicky was fond of dancing and acting since childhood and he also got trained in dancing.

Now, before becoming an actor, Vicky was studying engineering. He is an Electronics and Telecommunication Engineer.

And, in 2009, he completed his graduation from the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology in Mumbai. After completing his graduation he stepped into the Bollywood world.

Left Job For Bollywood

After completing his engineering Vicky Kaushal got many job offers. But, he refused.

After this, Vicky took admission in Acting School of ‘Kishore Namit Kapoor’ and learned to act from there.

During his school days, Vicky used to take part in various programs which included dancing and acting.

Anurag Kashyap’s Assistant Director

I am sure you must have seen Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. This movie was such a hit that its dialogue “Beta Tumse na ho payega” also grew with the audience.

One interesting fact about the film is that before becoming an actor Vicky Kaushal worked as an AD with Anurag Kashyap on this film.

 

Vicky Kaushal in an interview with a media company said, “My experience of working with him as an assistant director in Gangs of Wasseypur (2012) helped me learn so many things about cinema. From the time I assisted him to now when he is directing me again for Manmarziyaan, our friendship has only grown,

The films that changed Made VICKY KAUSHAL

Before appearing on the big screen Vicky Kaushal used to work with Anurag Kashyap as an AD i.e. Assistant Director. But, the big screen was waiting for him and he got his big break when he debuted with the film ‘Masan’. 

He even got Best Male Debuted Award for this film. And, since then he never looked back. He acted in various films after that and have always left a mark.

Although all his movies are good. But, two of his best performance came last year in 2018. The movies were Raazi and Sanju. These two movies were not only critically acclaimed but the audience also loved it. He even got Filmfare award for  Best Supporting Actor in Sanju.

At the beginning of this year, Vicky Kaushal gave another super hit blockbuster movie Uri: The Surgical Strike. The audience and the critics both loved the movie. His phrase: How’s the Josh?  took the internet by storm.
