J&KAll National News Politics

With the dismantling of Article 370, the central government’s biggest challenge is to keep the situation there under control after the special status of Jammu and Kashmir ends.

Now according to reports, the government has taken a decision to change its plan. It has decided that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir will now be monitored from Srinagar itself.

According to sources, the government has taken a decision to change its plan to monitor not only the entire valley from Srinagar but also both Jammu and Ladakh regions.

It is being said that after the abolition and division of a special state from Jammu and Kashmir, there can be demonstrations and other violent activities.

In such a situation, they have made heavy security arrangements there. And, they have imposed the curfew in many areas including the valley.

NSA visiting the valley

Earlier, after studying the evidence received by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the government sent foreign tourists back from there and shifted the prisoners who were jailed there to other states.

Meanwhile, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval is in constant touch with several top officials of the state to take stock of the local situation.

He has visited the valley continuously. State Chief Secretary BR Subrahmanyam and state DGP Dilbagh Singh are also visiting different places. They are also meeting local people and trying to tell them how the area will be developed after Article 370 ends.

Ajit Doval reached Srinagar just an hour after Home Minister Amit Shah neutralized Article 370 on 5th August. Doval is the first National Security Advisor (NSA) to hold cabinet rank.

Ajit Doval visited many areas in the valley till now. This includes the Shopian region of South Kashmir which is a major center of local terrorists.

NSA trying to get closer to people

According to sources, Ajit Doval wanted to take the field privately. And, take stock instead of input collected by the security officials.

Recently, Ajit Doval’s visit to Kashmir became a social media sensation when his videos and pictures went viral. In that photos, they saw him eating food with local people of Kashmir.

Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF and Army, these 3 forces will take care of the newly created Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory and Ladakh Union Territory. This new system will be effective from 31 October.
