Politics has intensified following the demolition of Sant Ravidas temple in Tughlakabad, capital Delhi. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati had attacked Delhi and the central government by tweeting on this issue on Wednesday morning.
Now Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has responded to her. Kejriwal tweeted and wrote that the land in Delhi comes under the center, in such a situation our government has no hand in demolishing the temple.
In fact, Mayawati had tweeted on Wednesday morning that with the connivance of the central and Delhi government, the Sant Ravidas temple built in the Tughlakabad area has been demolished, we oppose it.
https://t.co/6OZvpvuq4b

Now responding to this, Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, ‘Mayawati ji, we are all distressed because of the demolition of the temple. I strongly oppose it, I am sorry that you along with the Center blame us for this. Land in Delhi comes under the central government, our government has no hand in the demolition of this temple.
Was Ordered by the Supreme Court
Let us tell you that after the Supreme Court order, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) demolished the Sant Ravidas temple in Tughlakabad. Because of this, there is resentment in the Dalit society.
The effect of this resentment is being seen not only in Delhi but also in Punjab.
On Wednesday itself, in many cities of Punjab, Dalit society had called Punjab bandh, the effect of which was seen in big cities like Jalandhar, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur.
They also held protests in many places against this incident, where the police had to do the aerial firing.
On this issue, the Bahujan Samaj Party demanded that the central-state government get these temples rebuilt with mutual consent.
Local people believed that this place was many years old, and we recognized them. But where this religious place was, the DDA had made a boundary around it. This issue was in court for a long time.
