After the Delhi Assembly elections, people are coming less in the protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act in Shaheen Bagh. After the election, the crowd at the Shaheenbagh protest site has reduced compared to the previous one. An appeal is now being made to raise more and more crowds from the stage. On Thursday, people were urging people to reach here in greater numbers on loudspeakers. At the same time, in view of the first anniversary of the Pulwama attack, there will be no political speech in Shaheenbagh on 14 and 15 February. Patriotic programs will be held here on both days. This was being repeatedly announced from the stage on Thursday on the 61st day. On this occasion, an appeal was made to register.
Appeal to the Prime Minister:
On the eve of Valentine’s Day, bouquets are kept in the name of the Prime Minister at the venue. It is written in English that Modi please come to Shaheen Bagh. The protesters say that their protest has been going on for two months. The Prime Minister has mentioned the performance several times in his election speeches. He also expressed his concern for Muslim women on the issue of triple talaq. If they are worried about him then why does he not come to meet them?
Transgenders will gather: On Sunday, children will be given classes on music, acting, etc. in Shaheenbagh. Students and teachers associated with this field will tell about it. There will also be a question-and-answer session on February 14, in which advocates will answer questions from people on CAA, NRC, and NPR. Apart from this, soon transgender speakers will also gather in support of the protesters.
Overbearing grandmothers are encouraging people
During the Modi performance on stage, elderly Sarbari, who is known as Dabang Dadis, is also increasing the spirits of the people. On Thursday morning, where the crowd at the protest venue was less than before, a large number of people gathered there at night. During this time programs were also organized at the protest site.
Candles lit in memory of Pulwama
On Thursday, on the eve of the Pulwama attack at the protest site in Shaheenbagh, people lit large candles in front of the stage to pay their respects to the martyrs. On 14 February 2019, there was a vehicle-borne suicide attack on a convoy of vehicles of security personnel at Lethpora in Pulwama district. 40 soldiers and the attacker were killed in it. On the other hand, the people present there were made aware of the CAA law. Some of them said that the picketing would continue till the demand is met.
