Chinese President Xi Jinping is coming to India on 11 October. He will have his second informal summit here with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Foreign Ministry announced this on Wednesday. Several senior leaders from the neighboring country will accompany Jinping for the meeting. Every aspect of terror will be discussed in the meeting.
However, it is also reported that India and China will also do a joint anti-terror exercise in December 2019.
Jinping is coming to India on the call of the Indian PM. This will be an informal meeting. It will not sign any agreements or MOUs. The ministry said that these summits would provide an opportunity for the two leaders to continue talks on a wide range of issues of bilateral, regional and global importance.
However, there will definitely be a talk on the funding of terror, countries supporting it, sources, etc in this meeting.
Chinese President Jinping is going to visit India
Before the Chinese President’s visit, India has clarified that there will be no talk on Article 370 removed from Jammu and Kashmir. Sources said that all countries including China have been told that this is an internal matter of India.
There will be both one to one and delegation-level meetings between PM Modi and Xi Jinping. There is no specific agenda for both talks. The focus of this meeting is on improving relations between the two countries and how peace should remain on the India-China border.
The ministry said that during the summit, the two countries will discuss deepening the India-China development partnership.
The Ministry said, ‘At the invitation of the Prime Minister, the head of the People’s Republic of China’ Xi Jinping will be in Chennai for an informal summit on 11 -12 October 2019. The summit will take place in the ancient coastal city of Mahabalipuram near Chennai.
