The Bharatiya Janata Party will march in Lalabazar in West Bengal today, 12th June. The march is against the assassination of BJP worker. The party workers will encircle the police headquarter in Lalabazar area of Kolkata. BJP workers are gathering at Lalabazar for March. The administration has done the security arrangements for the BJP workers.
They will deploy police throughout the route of March. Apart from Kolkata. BJP will also march in Howrah and Sealdah. From 11 am onwards.
BJP Yuva Morcha Protest
Earlier on Tuesday,11th June workers of BJP Yuva Morcha arrived in Howrah on the road. They expressed anger against the murder of the BJP worker. Yuva Morcha activists lie on the road during protests. when police tried to move them they tussled with them. The tussle lasted for an hour because of which the traffic was on hold. To keep the traffic moving the police had to remove the BJP workers forcefully.
After the death of their workers, BJP organized a 12-hour shutdown (bandh) on 10th June in Sandeshkhali. The closure disrupts there subdivision. And, also affects the common life in Basirhat.
The saffron party activists held a demonstration on the rail track at Bhyabla station in North 24 Parganas district. And, it caused a disruption in the local train services in the Sealdah-Hassanabad division.
Most shops remained closed. Most private carriages remained unaffected by the roads however, they noticed government carts. Police said, “Law and order are under control, the strike has partially affected the life.”
Deaths in Bengal
On the removal of the saffron party’s flag, there was a clash between TMC and BJP workers on Sunday,9th June in Sandeshkhali.
The clash went violent. Police have confirmed the death of two BJP workers and one TMC worker in the incident so far. However, both parties have claimed at least eight deaths.
