77th Golden Globe Awards: All Nominations Released

The nominations for the 77th Golden Globe Awards, to be held on January 5 next year, have been released. On Monday, Lorenzo Soria and Barry Edelman, presidents of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, announced the 2020 nominees on Facebook Live. Significantly, Netflix has achieved the highest number of 17 nominations in the TV and film sections. This is the first time in history that a single studio has received such numerous nominations.

Disney has won three of the five nominations in the Animation category at the award ceremony held in 2020. These include ‘Toy Story 4’, ‘Frozen 2’ and ‘The Lion King’. ‘Marriage Story’ has received the highest number of 6 film nominations. In addition, Leonardo DiCaprio’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Pesci’s ‘The Irishman’ are nominated in five sections. Whereas Joaquin Phoenix’s ‘Joker’ and ‘Two Pops’ recently joined the Billion Dollar Club received four nominations.
