The situation is very bad due to pollution in Delhi-NCR and a meeting called today to deal with it. However, only a few elected officials arrived at the meeting and the Aam Aadmi Party took on BJP MP Gautam Gambhir from East Delhi.

In the tweet made by the Aam Aadmi Party, ‘Delhi is breathless due to pollution and Gautam Gambhir busy having fun in Indore. The MP should come to Delhi and attend the meeting on air pollution. The meeting canceled as MCD, DDA, Ministry of Environment and Delhi MP remained absent.

You made several tweets attacking Gambhir

In a tweet from the Twitter handle of the Aam Aadmi Party, Gambhir also accused of politics on the issue of pollution. Wrote in the tweet, “Gautam Gambhir will be present when he says to rule on pollution, but when it comes to work, Gautam Gambhir always runs away from his responsibility.” Another tweet read, ‘The agenda of this meeting was fixed several weeks ago, but MP from East Delhi Gautam Gambhir did not reach. Is the seriousness about pollution limited to the commentary box?

Retweeting old tweet that surrounded Kejriwal on pollution

Gambhir also shared an old tweet from the AAP party which he did on 1 November. Gambhir had tweeted, ‘Delhi is breathless and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is busy holding a press conference at FYI Center, Eastern Express. The Chief Minister should go and see how many construction sites have been covered. The EDMC has installed 52 super-machines worth Rs 70 crore to reduce pollution and DDA has carried out the biggest plantation drive.

Only members reached the meeting on pollution

A meeting of the Parliament’s Standing Committee for Urban Development called today. Also, to discuss what done to tackle pollution in Delhi NCR.

The meeting called off within minutes due to the absence of senior officials. This was the first meeting of the Standing Committee. The committee has a total of 30 members, out of which only 5 reached.
