TV and film actor Ram Kapoor says that today’s phase is very difficult for aspiring actors. Of these, 90 percent have no work. Their entire life culminates in auditioning. According to Kapoor, only two percent of people get success in this career.
I never had a job for 6 months: Ram Kapoor
Ram Kapoor, 46, was speaking in an interview. When asked how smooth were things at the beginning of his career? In response, he says, “For the first 5-8 years, I was also one of the thousands who were wandering around dreaming of becoming actors. There was a time when I had no work for 6 months. Nor was I able to earn enough money. But I changed the circumstances and moved forward.”
According to Ram Kapoor, he values work more than money. He says, “If my focus was only on money, then I would keep working on TV. But if I get interesting work for less money, I will do it happily.”
‘I am not Salman or Shahrukh’
When Ram was asked whether he missed his TV-like popularity in films? So he said, “I am not Salman Khan or Shahrukh Khan. But I have reached the level where I am known all over the country. I have my own fan following. Be it TV, film, web or theater whatever. I think. Popularity is always the same. Even Kapil Sharma, who is known for his comedy. If he does a film, a daily soap or something on the web, he will still be the same. My fans will always know me as Ram Kapoor.”
