66th National Film Award: Vicky, Ayushmann Win Best Actor Award

On Friday, 9th August, the I&B Ministry finally announced the winners of the 66th National Film Awards.

Sriram Raghavan directed “Andhadhun” won the Best Hindi Film Award. “Kharabas” won the Best Short Film Award. They gave the Best Choreography Award to Ghoomar Song of “Padmavat”.

Rahul Rawail, chairman of the National Cinema Awards jury announced the awards.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar was present during this announcement.

The announcement was to made two months ago but because of Lok Sabha elections; they delayed the announcement. These awards were to be announced two months ago. But, now they were announced because of the Lok Sabha elections.

After a 45-day screening of 419 films, the awards declared

The jury announced 31 films in the category. They announced the awards after 45 days of screening of 419 films. They announced 23 awards in the non-feature film category.

For this, the jury screened 253 films for 28 days. They also included 22 books and 19 articles in the writing category.
